Students completing the requirements for the PSC for Reading Licensure will meet the 维吉尼亚州 Department of Education-approved program requirements for licensure.
The PSC for Reading Licensure requires 21 credits of coursework. A maximum of six hours of graduate coursework (grades of “A” or “B” only) may be approved for transfer by the student’s adviser. Certificate courses include Foundations of Literacy Instruction, 诊断阅读, 阅读困难的临床诊断, 内容领域的读写能力, 语言发展, Children’s Literature Conference: Literature Class, 及识字领导 & 指导阅读计划. A passing score on Praxis® Reading Specialist exam is also required.
